Founder & Clinical Director of The Good Chapter
Registered Psychotherapist
I’m Kaya Quinsey Holt—a Registered Psychotherapist and Artist. As the Founder of The Good Chapter, a boutique psychotherapy private practice utilizing narrative and expressive arts for mental health support that serves clients across Ontario.
As an artist and registered psychotherapist with 10+ years of clinical experience, I provide therapy in a compassionate and non-judgemental setting. I approach my clients with support and provide an empowering environment where you can explore your experiences, challenge limiting beliefs, and re-author your personal narrative.
My journey in psychotherapy has taken me through clinical and research settings, including Mount Sinai Hospital, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Toronto Western Hospital, and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). I’ve also had the privilege of mentoring students at the University of Toronto, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, before achieving my Masters of Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), a Professional Member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (ICATA), an Associate Member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA), hold certificates in Narrative Therapy and Art Therapy, and have undergone further training in Narrative Therapy through The Dulwich Centre which has deeply shaped my approach to psychotherapy and my belief in the transformative power of storytelling.
My creative work directly informs my clinical practice. Beyond therapy, I’m also a published author of multiple fiction books that have been translated into five languages and produced as audiobooks. As a painter, my art has been featured in gallery, museum, and private collections. I help clients explore the ways in which storytelling can help people make sense of their experiences, reframe challenges, and uncover new possibilities for their lives. My goal is to help people rewrite the narratives that no longer serve them—whether that’s through therapy, journaling, or creative expression.
Outside of the practice, I am a devoted animal lover and actively support the Toronto Humane Society and shelter initiatives in the South of France.
I look forward to meeting with you and helping you start your next chapter.
